Latin American Society for Biomedical Research on Alcoholism
LASBRA (Latin American Society for Biomedical Research on Alcoholism) was founded in 1993 during a symposium supported by NIAAA and ISBRA in Bethesda, MD. We are the Latin American-affiliated Society of ISBRA (International Society for Biomedical Research on Alcoholism). Our Society is a nonprofit corporation that joins scientists from Latin America who work on alcohol-related biomedical research. Our purposes are to provide a forum for communication among researchers and dissemination of scientific knowledge in basic science, epidemiology, education, prevention, and treatment.
